Whether a brewmaster burger by day or a Wagyu steak on a Friday night, 12welve Bistro will offer a dining experience like no other in Durham.

Our menu caters to all cuisine including steak, seafood, pasta and pub fare while being sensitive to vegan and vegetarian offerings. Gluten free options are available. 

From beers brewed on site to wines from around the world, to hand crafted spirits made with the freshest of ingredients, 12welve will focus on the true meaning of date night, get togethers with friends and special celebrations featuring live music select weekends.

CHEF SHRINY RAJ

Joining the Bollocks Pub & Kitchen in 2014 as Executive Chef he quickly crafted his talent and passion at their first location located in Pickering, ON. While there, he personally oversaw the development of the kitchen and menu in early 2016 of their second location in Whitby, ON, as Corporate Executive Chef, Bollocks Pub Group. Now in 2019 he takes his talents and mentoring to new heights here at the highly talked about 12welve Bistro & Tapwerks located in the Brock Street Brewing Company building in downtown Whitby, ON.

​Chef Shriny Raj, born in France, he is a self spurred proficient with 16 years of involvement in dealing with the culinary operation with skill information of world foods, gaining practical experience in both fine dining and specialty banqueting operations. Leading a team of 20 through leadership and innovation, Chef Shriny is eager to leverage the abundant bounty of local & sustainable ingredients, plant-based foods, fresh seafood, pasta and the freshest of local / international meats into his culinary art.

​Chef Shriny describes his culinary style as one without borders, always evolving and incorporating international influences. He believes great cuisine involves two simple ingredients: top quality products with flawless technique.

Lagered Blonde

This flavourful light ale lagers extensively to ensure a deliciously smooth finish.  Bronze Medal Winner - Ontario Brewing Awards. Best Light Beer.

Bohemian Pilsner

This traditional Bohemian Pilsner is crisp and refreshing and is brewed in strict accordance with the Bavarian Purity Law (Reinheitsgebot) of 1516.  Gold Medal Winner - Ontario Brewing Awards. Best Bohemian Pilsner.

Traditional Irish Red

Darker than most conventional red beers, our Irish Red uses dark roasted malts and earthy English hops, has flavours or rich caramel and a creamy finish. ​Gold Medal Winner - Ontario Brewing Awards. Best Dark Ale.

Lagered Amber Ale

Our premium Amber Ale lagers for and extra 2 weeks to ensure an extra clean, smooth finish.  Mild caramel notes with medium body.  ​Silver Medal Winner - Canadian Brewing Awards. Best Amber Ale.

Munich Lager (Bock)

This delicious Munich Dunkel has a frothy cream coloured head, provides caramel on the nose and finishes with molasses cookies, and hints bittersweet chocolate.  ​Silver Medal Winner - Canadian Brewing Awards. Best Bock.

Chocolate Milk Stout

Our chocolate milk Stout is brewed with a variety of dark roasted malts, and it is infused with lactose sugars, resulting in a slightly sweet finish, and a delicious creamy flavour.  ​Gold Medal Winner - Canadian Brewing Awards. Best Sweet Stout.  ​Silver Medal Winner – Ontario Brewing Awards. Best Milk Stout.

Munich Lager on Nitro

Our Munich Dunkel is infused with Nitro, being in the lasting frothy head, and an ultra creamy creamy mouthfeel.

West Coast IPA

Our West Coast IPA uses imported American hops, has a wonderful piney scent and a mild to medium bitter finish. Perfect for the introductory IPA drinker.

Blayne’s Black IPA

This Black IPA has a delicious fresh pine aroma, and finishes with dark chocolate, with a medium to strong bitter finish.

The Inaugural Pale Ale

The very first recipe created at our new location, the Pale Ale is aggressively hopped on the boil, is intensely better, with a limited hop presence on the nose.

Irish Stout

Created using old world recipes, the rich dark involves provides a delicious flavour of rich milk chocolate and toasted oats.

Traditional Irish Stout on Nitro

Our traditional Irish Stout is infused with Nitro for an extra creamy most feel and a delicious frothy head.

Blueberry Belgian Whit Beer

Finally a fruit beer that tastes like a beer, not a cooler. Wild blueberries, blackberries, hibiscus flowers, and orange zest, combine for a truly unique and flavorful fruit beer, with a slight tart finish. This beer has a dry clean finish, mild fruit flavour, with no residual sweetness.
